Projeto Maravilha
Maravilha Project Icons on Landscape
January 2025 — January 2026
Installed at Bosque das Artes, an environmental reserve at the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, the Maravilha Project – Icons of the Landscape offers an immersive experience of contemporary art while expanding contemplation of the scenery and the full richness of the Atlantic Forest—both exuberant and threatened. The project uses art to foster critical awareness and inspire the collective imagination.
Maravilha Project is curated by Ulisses Carrilho and has executive direction by Fabio Szwarcwald. It is an initiative by A-Ponte, produced by LPC Produções and made possible through the Culture Incentive Law, with sponsorship from China National Petroleum Corporation – CNPC Brasil, Cescon Barrieu Advogados, BMA Advogados, and support from Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar®.
A-PONTE
A-PONTE is a CultTech founded by collector and cultural manager Fabio Szwarcwald. It brings together art, education, and technology to democratize access to culture in Brazil and around the world. With an innovation-driven approach, it conceives, enables, and produces cultural projects that generate positive impact by connecting two essential pillars: on one side, artists, creatives, and technology entrepreneurs; on the other, companies, investors, and governments. With a strong focus on sustainability and accessibility, it expands culture’s reach and fosters social engagement. Its core mission is to build connections that promote economic and cultural development across all regions of Brazil, always through transparent, collaborative work.
Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar®
Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar is one of the most iconic attractions in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil, having welcomed more than 50 million visitors over its 113-year history. Located within an important environmental conservation area and between two mountains covered by the Atlantic Forest—Morro da Urca and Sugarloaf Mountain—the attraction promotes a range of social and environmental initiatives aimed at preserving local flora and fauna, generating a positive impact for the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The Park also invests in unforgettable, sustainable experiences, creating special moments for both locals and visitors, framed by one of the most striking views of the Marvelous City.
